Gearing Up

Well, we have been super busy getting ready for TDS next week.  We have a 13 hour drive next Thursday down to Southern California.  Luckily the little monster will be staying with grandma and grandpa.  Long car trips are not her favorite.

We have been tying rope till our fingers bleed and frequenting Sportsman's Warehouse and Target, sometimes a couple times a day getting everything we need. (hopefully)  All that's left to do is get all the camping stuff together.  I can't wait for the 75 degree weather!  It has been a cold, cold winter here.

I have been developing a line of paracord products for ladies who want the perfect mix of adventure and girly.  I am super stoked on them and hope they are a hit!  Here's some pictures of what we have been doing the past couple of weeks.

Jeepin and Gunnin

Saturday was a beautiful Spring day here in Southern Idaho.  After an unseasonably cold winter, we have all had a little cabin fever.  We decided to take advantage of the weather and go shooting with some friends.  Here are some pictures from our adventure.

Beautiful day followed by a beautiful Idaho sunset

This thing my husband loves (and I do too)

I have never been good at blogging.  I have two other blogs that have fizzled and died.  I am inspired by other people who are able to keep their blogs going religiously for years.  I always loose interest or run out of interesting things to write about.  I like to think that this time will be different.  Here's to hoping.

I am a mostly stay at home mom of a very active two year old.  As a little girl, my dream car was always a Jeep.  Remember the game MASH?  Well, we would play and my friends would want mustangs or corvettes, I wanted a Jeep.  When I turned 16 my dad helped me buy my first real car, a Jeep Cherokee.  It was at a dealership and we made an offer and they actually sold it to us for less than we offered.  It was the first car that I drove on the freeway alone, and the first car I got stranded on the freeway in  (both the same trip).  It was the first car that my dad took me off roading in.  It was the first car that I broke something on while off roading and the first car that I got stuck in a mud hole in.  And then lied to my parents about why it was covered in mud.

I got my first Wrangler when I was 22.  It was a white TJ with oversized tires and I was in heaven.  That TJ was the beginning of me and my brother owning a plethora of wranglers.

Shortly after my husband and I got married, I traded my Tacoma for a 1990 YJ.  The day after we bought it we took it to Moab for Jeep Safari.  We had it for three years and recently sold it to the next door neighbor's brother.  It still hurts every time we see it in the driveway next door.

And then we look in our own driveway and see our 2013 JKUR and remember that it was worth selling the YJ.  I feel like a kid who's dreams have been fulfilled.  I got the dream car, the dream house (well, its coming along), and the dream family.  I have a little girl who loves to ride in the "JEP".  She thinks it is so cool that we get to drive it everywhere.

This summer we are going to be going to Jeep events all over to sell our paracord jeep accessories.  I can't wait for all the adventures we will have!
